Kokoshnik Girl

I was born in Russia and Iiving outside of my birth country always made me feel nostalgic. Some days I can spend hours thinking of my childhood and all the old Russian tales that I used to listen to. This drawing represents the old traditional headdresses, kokoshnik, that women used to wear in Russia. I used a mix of graphite pencil and watercolor. The image is 32cm on 42.5cm drawn on a paper 50cm on 60cm for easy framing.
