MAV Soho, a new Italian restaurant by SGS Architetti Associati is part of the stylish Hotel Hugo in Soho district at lower Manhattan. The interior features a spacious combination of polished natural wood panels and various shades of turquoise colour highlighted by spherical lights. The interior is characterized by a longitudinal spatial distribution: the entrance is accentuated by a bar from where visitors have access to the main dining area which then leads to the back patio. The project is designed to have chromatic and material coherence with the Hugo Hotel through a sophisticated interpretation of a 50’s style through use of wood and art-deco inspired wallpapers that serve as a backdrop for the bar.
